D&D Game Day Let Down (Vendor, not the day) [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-03-07, 10:21 PM So, I live in Nashville. There were two locations near me that I could have gone to, I chose wrong. Hastings Books in Murfreesboro was listed as one of the participating stores. I love Hastings, used D&D books are -always- welcome.

So, my friends and I arrived, no signs, no posters...nothing. We inquire and no one at the location knew anything about it.

We ended up going to another nearby participating shop that was packed with people! We were excited, until we found out that 95% of the people there were playing Warhammer. This shop was also out of the PC Kits.

So, D&D game day is over, I didn't get to play D&D, meet any new players, or even get my cool PC Kit... /sigh

So, what was in the cool give-away kit anyway?

11-04-07, 01:49 AM That's a shame! The kits had a figure for your PC (with its D&D minis stat card), a small character sheet, a pencil, a D20, and an ad for the D&D Experience. The prize beyond this was a Spined Devil figure from the Desert of Desolation set, along with its stat card for D&D 4th Edition.

I know how ya feel. I went to the Hastings here, and when I inquired about it they had to call a manager. After explaining to her what I was there for, she said they decieded not to hold it months ago.
