| bjwoody10-14-07, 11:00 PM | So I have been playing D&D since before I was 15, which means i have been playing for over 10 yrs. I started in 2nd edition, and wasn’t to happy when 3rd edition come out, because all the material for 2nd edition was lost. Although the 3rd edition did simplify D&D I had a hard time paying for books that had no history. As 3.5 came out, some of the old realms came back (I was really hoping for Birthright to be one of them). This made the 3.5 edition easier to swallow. I absolutely love the Ebberon concept though; it gives a final fantasy feel to the game which made 3.5 a lot of fun to play. As 4th edition comes out i worry about having to shell out 100$ not including the monthly fee to experience the full effect of 4th edition by stream lining D&D and making it more like MMO's. As a military man i barley have the time to play, little lone the money to spend on new additions every few years. As 4th edition sounds like it would be fun to play b/c not only could i get more done when i DM i could provide a whole new experience. I have to admit that i will probably be leaving the gaming world soon though. Until then, I will be having fun running my 3.5 ebberon campaign until 4th edition comes out. I do want to thank the countless people for the countless hours of entertainment you helped provide. |
