07-25-05, 06:47 PM the best ways of learning the game are to 1) go pick up the basic starter box set. It is a good place to start. has everything you need to get started, and a fairly good, simple explanation of all the rules.
2)if your ambitious, go pick up a copy of the Players Handbook and then the Dungeon Masters guide, and take a read through those.
3)probably the best way to learn is to find a group locally who plays, and hae them introduce you to the game. the face to face education cannot be beat. They can answer all your questions and guide you through the rough spots.
