| farghal03-25-04, 05:17 AM | hi i have a little question: I would like to hold a D&D marathon with my group (that would be like a week non stop roleplay). Has anybody got some expirience with this for what points should i look out etc. And does anybody knows/has a complete campaing that's easy to prepare and will last for about a week? please let me know :D |

| Mister Mayhem03-25-04, 07:33 AM | It might be worth considering a series of individual adventures rather than a single campaign, so that from each adventure to the next, whilst most of the characters remain the same, one player can swap with the DM. This lets you spread the workload out more equally. It's what we did when we went for a sponsored 1 week non stop game (we were allowed 2 hours off in every 24). (In fact, we used the Dreampark RPG due to the way it facilitates GM swapping). Other than that, supply yourselves with slow-releasing energy foods so that you can keep your blood sugar levels up at a reasonably constant level instead of eating high sugar snacks and sending your blood sugar up and down like a yo-yo. We found "ultra-sour lemon fizzbomb" sweets to be a good instant wake up when required, but mostly we used copious quantities of coffee. |

I speak from personal experience, a marathon game of Talisman. The minis were moving on thier own and talking to me. And no I was not on drugs... |
