goawayugh 04-12-06, 04:25 PM	My friend owns the D&D 2nd movie (wrath of the dragon god). I watched the movie (which was awsome), and then the extras. When i went to watch the commentary it is supposed to be three people. One as Jozan, one as Lidda, and someone else. There was only Jozan on the audio track. Has anyone else had this problem, and did my friend just get a bad DVD?

I rented the movie, but didn't watch the Commentary portion, I was able to make it through the movie (barely) and the Gygax comments on the film (again, just barely). It might be a bad pressing of the DVD, try renting a copy and see what you get, if it's not there it's probably something with that run of discs, if it is there, it may be your friend's copy.

Wrath of the Dragon God didn't have those people in it... it had "Rogue" and "Barbarian". :) Man I hate the lame fantasy movies that refer to people by their class name. Oh and the Cleric of Obad-Hai (not a Druid, but a Cleric). The CGI was sub-par and the acting was meh. The Sci-Fi channel movies are far lamer than even Clash of the Titans or Conan. I would rather watch Herc/Xena than any of this stuff. D&D2 and Dark Kingdom... blech.

The 2nd movie was more serious and more into the theme of things but not the best that could be done.

"Wrath of the Dragon God" had three WotC staff members giving an audio commentary on the film, and they introduced themselves as Jozan, Lidda, and Krusk. The OP wasn't talking about characters in the film. The version I saw had all three voices, so it must be a defective DVD. I wouldn't bother exchanging it, though, because it was the most pathetic possible commentary. "Lidda" kept saying how hot every guy was, and "Krusk" kept wanting to see blood. That's really all you missed.

The rest it was by her name, Lux) Dorian Ormaliane and Nim (the "rogue" you refer too. Again, same as above) And by the way, Obad-hai can have clerics. Open your PHB to page 106, look under Deity by class, and you will see that cleric has the word "any" next to it. Yes, Obad-hai is the deity most revered by druids, but a cleric can also worship him.
Bulletproof_Condom 04-16-06, 02:43 AM	Wrath of tha Dragon God had it's moments. I'm torn between these two. The wizard chick is using detect magic and looking around that silly little shack and then the camera cuts to the party for about a second before she drops concentration and all their stuff is glowing. I'm not sure if it was the commercial right before the cleric got iced or right after it that had a D&D commercial about the rules of adventuring and Rule #3 was "always keep the cleric alive." But I'm not sure that counts. It feels like this movie was written by playing the game and then inserting plot into the quiet bits. I kinda like that. Anyway yeah, if it's not playing right, go back to the store, yell for a while, and get them to replace it. If you didn't like it, see if they'll replace it with a different movie.
