Hey folks,

Has anyone heard of the new D&D movie coming out in November? Is it based on any particular game product currently out there like NWN or Eberron?

Also curious if anyone is planning to see it or has already seen it and what you thought of the movie. I think it may only be coming out on DVD in November.

Any thoughts?

I understand that its based in whatever world the first one was. It is on on the Space channel on the 8th (in Canada anyway).

The only returning character is the evil wizard.

Edit : My bad, not on Space this Saturday in Canada

Wow. I don't think anyone has ever heard of this movie you speak of.
Certainly not >>here<<. (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=510923) or >>here<< (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/news/20050921a)

Sorry 'bout that. But when a new thread pops up about every 36 hours because someone thinks they must be the first person to see the commercial for the movie, it gets a little bit easy to be sarcastic.

It isn't coming out in November, it's coming out on TV. It premiers this saturday at 9pm Eastern. Look at it this way: It couldn't possibly suck as badly as the first one did. :D

Actually there was also another thread about this before. And also the fact that the thread you linked to is on the front page, just adds more.

I however will add my two cents about the movie once again. It was good, not great but good. I hope everyone at least gives it a chance.

1. It's you're, not your. The former is a contraction; the latter is a possessive pronoun.
2. He was not wrong. He was writing about the broadcast premier. His statement is accurate. Your (equally accurate) information regarding the DVD release does not make his statement about the broadcast premier incorrect.

Just picking nits in equal measure.

His original post doesn't state nothing about a broadcast premier. So I take it you assume that is what he meant?

And with the your.. I mainly dont even type the ' but then again its sheek to type "the" as "teh"...

I'm confused about this November thing. The Sci-Fi site says October.

Did anybody else mention October other than the guy saying it is this Saturday that it will premiere?

Sorry, but bad English is never cool. Unless, of course, your name is Carlos Mencia and Immigrant English is part of your comedy routine.
