| Shubert07-28-07, 04:06 AM | Hello all! So the campaign I'm currently playing is ending in 1 or so sessions, and the next campaign another DM is setting up can't start for a couple weeks, so I started thinking I could do a nice little quest just to bide some time between campaigns. I started thinking of a quest involving the destruction of a certain number of "boss" enemies, who all have their own seperate theme and styles of fighting. Sort of like mega man or something, 8 different bosses, each with their own unique theme. So I need some ideas for monsters, I need 8 different enemies, all with different and interesting abilities/fighting styles that will make for a different fight everytime. I will base the terain around them off of the monster's habitat. There will be 4-6 players (i realize there is a huge difference between 4 to 6, but I really can't tell with my group) playing level 8 gestalts, just to give you an idea on what these enemies will be facing. Thanks, any (intelligent) input is highly appreciated! |

His little cave/dungeon had a fake phylactery on a pedestal, guarded by a few traps and a large red dragon (the lich's brother, with several levels of Fighter), and had Nystul's Magic Aura on it. The real phylactery was behind a magma flow, across a 50-foot pit, protected by a Wall of Force and Resist Energy (Fire). I forget what level the PCs were (pretty sure they were epic), but it was fun. They died. Horribly. |
| shadzar07-28-07, 03:37 PM | how about settling an upset graveyard. not sure how one shot it could be if you add too many baddies, but a vampire recently woke up in a town and has been feeding on townspeole and the party must go into tis masoleum and remove it. |

| mshea07-28-07, 09:13 PM | How about running Dave Noonan's Dungeon Delve from the last Gencon? http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dd/20060929a http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dd/20061013a I myself run some D&D Miniature Scenarios with my wife when we want to kill an hour playing some games before dinner. We started with some 50 point warband games. Today I had her do a 150 point party tearing through a dungeon finding treasure and fighting demons. She thought it was ok but prefers the single party vs. party fights. The only problem so far is that she hates clerics in the party. I may try some four-mini 200 point warband fights and see how those go. |
| Shubert07-29-07, 02:10 PM | Thanks for the ideas JokerMatt, and sorry mshea, but we aren't playing minis, we're playing good old fashioned D&D. |
| Drodain07-29-07, 02:14 PM | Lawful Good Cleric with domains Law and Death. With full plate that offers bonuses to hide and move silently. Wields a scythe. Death with a good aspect. |
