D&D Question [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-24-04, 12:09 PM I have been playing D&D since 1989 went 2nd Ed. came out.

I bought 3rd Ed. went it came out.
So should I get 3.5.
Most of players I play with 3.5 say I should get the new PHB and I will be fine.

So what should I do.

07-24-04, 12:13 PM Read some of the other fifty or so threads that ask the same question and then make a decision. My guess is half your answers will be yes and half will be no.

For the changes. Can't help you decide on this one...personally I haven't made any of those I play with when I DM have a 3.5 handbook, course I only use a few of the changes to 3.5 and keep others from 3.0 (I like Rangers to have a higher hitdie than 1d8 for example, but I also like them able to have options of whether to be concentrating on which weapons route they desire to go, etc.).
