I want to host D&D at my house and I have a front patio that is 8 feet by 17 feet. I would like a table that we could comfortly play D&D on with a 3 foot by 4 foot megamat. So maybe a 4-5 foot wide by 6-7 foot long table. Where do you think I would be able to find a cheap table that size? I live in San Diego, CA

Office Depot / Staples have furniture. They have cheap (opinion) plastic top folding tables. I'm not sure about the width you are looking for but they may have something close. They run about 6ft long.

A furniture store? Where would you get a non-D&D table? Maybe you can find one on the curb and get it for free. Is there a Goodwill in your area? They might have a used table. Or you could make your own table. Card tables are good for portability, but you might run the risk of overloading it with too many books. I suggest a light wooden table.

IKEA (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/) maybe? Or with a little DIY (http://www.diynetwork.com/) knowledge, you could do something like this (http://www.penpaperpixel.org/tutorials/tabletopprojection/).

Garbage pick. I found a beautiful 4x6 table that needed only marginal work. Or check craigslist for your area for free stuff/cheap furniture.

Seriously man. You're asking where to find a freaking table? This is a D&D forum, just go get a table where you'd get a table for any other means.

Hey I just thought that someone may have a good idea on where to get a large table suitable for D&D. And so far I was right. I found a 4 foot by 8 foot conference table on craigslist for $40. Thanks Guys.

Home Depot. 4x8 sheet of plywood + two sawhorses.Don't underestimate this sort of option. I played a terrific game for the first, oh, 15 years of gaming on a ping-pong table over a couple of sawhorses. At the time we didn't have megamats but we did have access to a plastic-coated graph paper by the roll at local office supply stores. We'd buy about 6' of a 4'wide roll and tape it down to the table, and use wet-erase markers. If it got too scuffed up or something we'd just buy a new sheet for a couple of bucks.
