Hi,

Im pretty new in D&D world so i have one question.

I saw adds for D&D tournaments. What is that? I meen, how is it possible to compete in this game? Or better to say, doesnt sole introduction of competition in this game eliminate all roleplaying.
Who wins? The one who kills another or is there some other rules? (i hope)

Does anyone have experience with these tournaments because i myself have lots of problems finding party to play with and im still very excited to play D&D.

Tournament play can take many forms. One element all tournament games have in common is that the competition is assumed to be in the same dungeon. Different means of determining the "winner(s)" are used.

Fastest time through the adventure.
Most surviving members.
Most wealth.
Most points (accumulated through each encounter / challenge).
Simply surviving.

You get the picture.

you could always do an arena combat either between all the players or have them as a team versus other teams.

for more in character ideas there are third party books devoted entirly to the idea of midevial contests.

"Tournament play" is a legacy of an older era of D&D, when some of the adventures were designed to be run at gaming conventions and to be, in a word, BRUTAL. The Tomb of Horrors is the most famous example.

Essentially, classic, old-school tournament play is entirely about player skill - the ability to navigate an incredibly lethal dungeon and survive, or at least lose the least amount of PCs doing it. Think of it as the 'Kick in the door' style of play described in the DMG - except that actually kicking in the door means certain death, because every door is trapped and every monster is, in 3e terms, 4-5 ELs above the party level. And no, you can't rest-buff-teleport-fight-rest, because there's usually wards against teleportation and wandering monsters to prevent resting.

It's a style that largely fell out of favor during AD&D 2nd Edition, but many gaming conventions still run old school tournaments. It can be quite fun and will really hone your dungeon crawling tactics, but don't expect much, if any, roleplaying, because that's not what it's about. :)
