11-21-06, 03:10 PM My super secret inside source says it'll be annouinced in January and released at next year's GenCon. It will require minis at every step, even for role-playing. And you have to base all role-playing off of pregenerated cards that will be sold in randomized packs. Oh, and the paladin and the monk will be taken out of the game.

I'm going to point out that like all 4th edition threads I see (almost all I should say), the poster has joined this month. So either its just another new clueless person to he boards. Or a troll with nothing better to do with their time.

I am sure that there will be a 4.0 I am hoping WOTC has sense enough to let people know ahead of time IE 3.0 and to keep it at bay until 2010 other wise I shall have no opinion b/c I shall stay with my 3.5 and it massive amounts of supplements.

As to the statement its only going to be able to play out using Minis even the RPG well no one can FORCE you to use anything you do not wish in your GAME.

In regards to the outrageous statement that characters are only going to be pregen style NOW COME ON that’s just stupid! Never has any game hand you "the player" a pregen and said this is all you get! It’s a game and you are the hero (or maybe villain) but to say here you are your Bob (no offense to the Bobs of the world it’s just my generic name for average people) the fighter now go to it. If WOTC where that stupid to make a move to a pregen only format then I hope they either a GIVE me the rights to 3.5 so I can keep it alive or just keep 3.5 in print b/c that move would make sure 4.0 failed and 3.5 lived on!

Just my thoughts on this TOPIC
