| shalitanior101801-09-07, 06:28 PM | one character .rouge ,:( barbarian |
| Seeker9501-09-07, 06:35 PM | I agree. Barbarians should not wear make-up. |
| enlightened01-09-07, 06:42 PM | one character .rouge ,:( barbarian This is the funniest instance of the classic "rogue/rouge" mistake that I've ever seen. :D I laughed outloud. |
| High Octane01-09-07, 06:45 PM | I agree. Barbarians should not wear make-up. |
| Limousine_Liberal01-09-07, 06:47 PM | I would think that a barbarian wearing makeup is even scarier than the normal variety. The worst thing a non-makeup-wearing barbarian will do is kill you... |
| Solaris01-09-07, 06:50 PM | Just remember: Rouge: http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/7258/makeuptippsrougebw6.jpg Rogue: http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/4715/3060000000046276jpg0yy1.jpg :) |
| a_psh01-09-07, 06:52 PM | I would think that a barbarian wearing makeup is even scarier than the normal variety. The worst thing a non-makeup-wearing barbarian will do is kill you...It puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again? |
| a_psh01-09-07, 06:52 PM | I agree. Barbarians should not wear make-up.It's called woad. Of course, woad is, in many ways, the antithesis of rouge. |
| Solaris01-09-07, 06:56 PM | It puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again? Don't forget to put lots of points into Seamstress and Knowledge (Skin Care), and take a level of Druid for the Animal Companion: http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/2292/silencelambs06ln8.jpg Barbarian Bill poses with his animal companion, Precious. |
| Azezel01-09-07, 06:58 PM | It puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again? I keep hearing that phrase, what is its origin? |
| Solaris01-09-07, 07:00 PM | I keep hearing that phrase, what is its origin? Silence of the Lambs |
| Azezel01-09-07, 08:11 PM | Ah, I've never read it. |
| a_psh01-09-07, 08:16 PM | Ah, I've never read it.You want the movie. His writing doesn't actually do anything for me, to be honest. |
| SneakyPetey01-09-07, 08:18 PM | Ah, I've never read it. It's a Jodi Foster movie. Intensely disturbing... ...And very popular here in the 'States! ;) Solaris:  |
| Drucilla_Rocks_my_Socks01-09-07, 08:52 PM | Well rogues and rouge sort of go togeather. Back in the day all the musical thetre people (who ware rouge) were hookers and thieves (which are rogues). As a musical thetre performer I am proud to carry on that same tradition. |
| Solaris01-09-07, 09:25 PM | Back in the day all the musical thetre people (who ware rouge) were hookers and thieves. As a musical thetre performer I am proud to carry on that same tradition. Hooking? |
| angryman01-09-07, 09:41 PM | Hooking? To sell one's body for the pleasure of a client, usually a man but not necessarily restricted to such. |
| Artector01-09-07, 09:44 PM | To sell one's body for the pleasure of a client, usually a man but not necessarily restricted to such. I think he was joking. Is there a point to this thread? |
| Solaris01-09-07, 10:10 PM | To sell one's body for the pleasure of a client, usually a man but not necessarily restricted to such. Yes, I know. I was wondering if that was the tradition that was being carried on by the poster. |
| angryman01-09-07, 10:16 PM | Yes, I know. I was wondering if that was the tradition that was being carried on by the poster. I fail at internet sarcasm. :( |

| Waterhammer01-09-07, 11:37 PM | I wonder if the O.P. meant to say that Barbarian & Rogue should not go together? No. Couldn't be. there is nothing wrong with inter-classal dating. Maybe the O.P. meant that you shouldn't have a Barb/Rogue multi-class. No. That can't be it either. The model for all Barbarians, Conan; was a rogue for awhile. Guess the O.P. just doesn't like Barbarians in red, or make-up. |
| Nytmare01-10-07, 01:55 AM | Guess the O.P. just doesn't like Barbarians in red, or make-up. But what about Red Sonja?! |
| fatal error01-10-07, 01:58 AM | So, I think it's time for a new absurd topic: Things that shouldn't go together: Owls and Bears. |
| Nytmare01-10-07, 02:01 AM | Celery and peanut butter. For that matter, I don't think that celery should really be mixed with anything. |
| spectralphoenix01-10-07, 02:01 AM | I wonder if the O.P. meant to say that Barbarian & Rogue should not go together? No. Couldn't be. there is nothing wrong with inter-classal dating. Guess the O.P. just doesn't like Barbarians in red, or make-up. Or maybe we should just ignore the text and use the title. Why would a dragon hang out in a dungeon anyway? If I were a crazy-powerful lizard with spellcasting and shapechanging abilities, I'd be living it up, not wasting away waiting for adventurers to get to area 23b. |
| Azar_of_Faerun01-10-07, 02:07 AM | Hextor and 1st level characters |
| Brightblade01-10-07, 02:42 AM | I agree. Barbarians should not wear make-up. Picked the words RIGHT OUT of my mind... |
| angryman01-10-07, 08:00 AM | Immature people and the Epic Handbook. I'm sick of stories of people asking, "What's the best build for my level 60 gestalt paragon lich?" |
| a_psh01-10-07, 08:53 AM | I'm sick of stories of people asking, "What's the best build for my level 60 gestalt paragon lich?"The answer, of course, is "Anything. Just wave your hands and BS a lot. It's not like anyone will actually be able to make sense of your character sheet anyway." |
| angryman01-10-07, 09:38 AM | The answer, of course, is "Anything. Just wave your hands and BS a lot. It's not like anyone will actually be able to make sense of your character sheet anyway." I've seen PhD theses less complicated than an epic character. Well, not literally, but they are somewhat...convoluted. "My AC of 97 comes from armour, luck, circumtance, monk, profane, bullsh*t and deflection." Bleh. |
| bhu01-10-07, 02:29 PM | I would think that a barbarian wearing makeup is even scarier than the normal variety. The worst thing a non-makeup-wearing barbarian will do is kill you... Look at it this way. At least it's not a yodeling naked barbarian weilding a dead stuffed squirrel as a weapon. |
| tierieanas01-10-07, 03:09 PM | It puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again? For your viewing pleasure: Lotion (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Oij377lgzs) Not safe for work! |
| aotrscommander01-10-07, 05:24 PM | Wizards and Int 9. Druids and full plate. Paladins and Blackguards. Enchantment spells and Undead. 'Epic' and 'Commoner'. And most obviously... Liches and Vampires. (Don't even get me started...) |
| High Octane01-10-07, 05:52 PM | Liches and Vampires. (Don't even get me started...) Those vampires STILL giving you trouble? Let it go man... |
| aotrscommander01-10-07, 06:24 PM | Those vampires STILL giving you trouble? Let it go man... I'll let it go only when every vampire in the universe is staked and baked. Or better yet, atomised. Slowly. With a spoon. |
| Magetastic01-10-07, 07:10 PM | Artificer and Vow of poverty (give the magic items to to orphans!). |
| Magetastic01-10-07, 09:32 PM | Whats with aotrscommander and vampires? He seems to dislike them... ALOT. |
| angryman01-10-07, 10:13 PM | aotrscommander And most obviously... Liches and Vampires. (Don't even get me started...) These creatures are walking cliches. I'd say fully 50% of ALL BBEGs are either vampires or liches. |
| Nytmare01-10-07, 10:16 PM | But a vampire lich would be soooooooo keeeeeeewl... |

| aotrscommander01-11-07, 07:41 AM | Whats with aotrscommander and vampires? He seems to dislike them... ALOT. It's a Lich thing... Not to derail this thread with a long rant on exactly why vampries are so woefully hateful, but in part at least it is has something to do with their arrogant and undeserved sense of superiority over the rest of us Undead; with the smug way they prance around in their long cloaks going "ooh look at us, we're the most powerful Undead, even though we have so many weaknesses everyone in the universe knows what they are and we have to feed and have flesh and are practically alive; this makes us 'better' than all the other Undead and hey, look at the stupid mortals going all gooey- eyed and romanticising over us, let's use them to further flaunt our woeful inadequacy in front of the other Undead and make them ashamed to share the the type as us!" It is these precise, same traits, that vampires ineptly consider to be beneficial, which are exactly what makes them so patheticly inferior to all other Undead. Even mindless zombies. Liches have been and always will be, vastly superior, stronger, smarter and infinately more powerful. And cooler. And more awesome. And, frankly, just plain better. We are the true Lords of the Undead, not some flesh-clad, pointy toothed, over-cliched, emo, half-alive ponces that can't even stand outside in the sun without burning. So there. Okay. I'm done down. That was actually quite theraputic... (And yes, that was a short rant.) |

| aotrscommander01-11-07, 08:13 AM | Vampires aren't on a par with a wise-crackin' Awakened Zombie. "Excuse me sir, but I'd like to feast on your brains. Terribly sorry." Precisely! Wise-cracking awaken zombies = Awesome. Wise-cracking vampire = lame1. aotrscommander and Strand Keh? Did you mean Strahd...? If so, yer darn tootin' we wouldn't go together! I absolutely convinced I could kick his pointy-toothed backside (basically because I'd grovel to Lord Death Despoil to do it for me while I watched from a very safe distance...) 1Not even Angel.2 2 Who, granted, is the only vampire in the entire of every reality I'd not stake but instead make into a Lich. |

| halflingofthenorth01-14-07, 01:37 AM | I agree. Barbarians should not wear make-up. I also agree I would not like to see Mel Gibson running around in a campain I'm playing in. |
