He is a Chaotic Evil pawn of Lloth. Originally popularized in the "Coldblow Hill" novels by A.R. DoorSalve.

Don't forget his companions. Geris the Giant, Garwulf the civilized, and Doggie-brie the dwarf raised by the human Bruno Peaceaxe.

It's okay because it's not necessarily making fun of Bartmanhomer (at least I'm not making fun of him). He clearly is not familiar with the character, and "Drizzt" isn't the most common name to remember (especially with the many variations on how people pronounce it). Illion made a good joke, and I took it a bit further.

I heard somewhere that the official pronunciation for Drizzt, is "Drist". As in it rhymes with wrist.

What is so funny?! I'm missing the joke. Anyway I really can't believe that Drizzt is very compassionate. That what I really like about him, not being evil.

It is not often that I really laugh out loud.

I just LOL'd big time.

can i ask... if his panther is CR5... how did it savage and kill an Illithid Elder Brain?!?!?!?! even on a 20 it still cannot hit the thing, and the brain can hit it with everything but a 1 (for fumble/-10 rule)... 1 problem with novels, is that they take the extraordinary and make it undescribibly unreal

Congratulations! You've just realized that all NPC stats as presented in the 3.x books are utterly wrong and completely stupid!!

Cue the confetti!

;)

Seriously, they're horrible. Ignore them. It's the only way.

The dessert thing was funny. However, this isn't making much sense. The only character I can think of with a similar name is that drow in War of the Spider Queen, and his name was pretty far from that. So...?

Ok, if you really don't get the joke, I will clear it up for you. People are having fun at your expense (a little bit), all based upon your initial mispelling of Drizzt

He is a Chaotic Evil pawn of Lloth. Originally popularized in the "Coldblow Hill" novels by A.R. DoorSalve.

He is actually a CG Ftr10/Bbn1/Rgr5 devoted to Mielikki poularized in the "Icewind Dale" novels by R.A. Salvatore. He is about as anti-Lloth as you can get.

And before the whiz kids watching this thread can start ripping on me about his class, this is what is published by WotC in the FRCS book on page 177.

Don't forget his companions. Geris the Giant, Garwulf the civilized, and Doggie-brie the dwarf raised by the human Bruno Peaceaxe.

His campanions are Regis the Halfling, Wulfgar the Barbarian and Catti-brie a human who was raised by a dwarf name Bruenor Battlehammer

D'zzart is what I have after D'nnar

D'zzart can be pronounced in a way to sound like dessert. So of course D'zzart is something you would have after D'nnar (dinner)

Hope this clears it up for you. Also hope you aren't taking any offense at the jokes being made here. Even though they are somewhat at your expense, I am sure there is no personal malice intended.

It is a safe assumption that you haven't read any of Salvatore's books. I would if I were you. They are fantastic.

the DM was a n00b and ruled that the Elder Brain was helpless. The panther proceeded to make five coup de grace attacks and thus killed it.
