What would be involved in writing a D20 final fantasy campaign? The technology involved with the perfect mix of fantasy. The part I'm most interested in is writing the magic or summons into the system. Would the magic be easiest to stay with a mp system or could it convert well enough to use. I'm just curious on other thoughts on this

Pick up the new Dragon Mag...It has stats for riding birds from Final Fantasy.

I got that.. Thats what gave me the idea. The DM in a game I'm in was thinking about throwing them is without really explaining to the other players what they really are.

Someone may shoot me for this, but try Eberron. I've been an avid Final Fantasy player for years, and it has the potential with minor tweaking.

That may actually be what I'm looking for.. that other thread is set on converting final fantasy into a d20 game, I'm more interested and just getting the core aspects of the game and esentially, creating my own final fantasy

I've found that keeping all the base DnD rules and making classes/PrCs to reflect the abilites has been cool. I allready ran a Chrono Cross campaign and my players loved it, however short lived it was (stupid job).
This year I plan to run a Spira Campaign.
All of the basic classes are there, races are
Human
Al-Bhed (Gains +2 to Cha and Dex and -2 to Str and Con. Gets -4 on diplomasy checks with Yevon worshipers and +1 on any Craft (machina) or Profession (Airship Pilot) checks.)
Guado (Tweaked Elf, +2 Wisom, no free weapon proficiancy)
Half Guado (Half Elf)
Ronso (+2 Str, +2 Wis, -2 Cha, +4 to Jump Checks, -2 to Spellcraft Checks)
Moogle (Small Size, -2 Str, +2 Cha, Flight Speed 10)
Cactaur (Small Size, +2 Dex, -2 Int, Land Speed 50, Natural Weapon Needle 1d2, Crit 20/x4)
Hypello (-2 Str, +2 Dex, -2 Con, +2 Wis, Immune to drowning, can take 20 on all swim checks, gets +2 on all Craft (Alchemy) and Ride (Shoopuf) checks, gets the Endurence feat at level 1, gets -2 on Diplomasy checks with hostile creatures)
And there are also a slew of Prestige classes
Summoner of Yevon, Mech Expert, Al-Bhed Alchemist, Al-Bhed Pilot, Sphere Hunter, Blitz Champ, and Deciple of O'aka =P.

As for that 70something page long campaign setting linked to above, it is very well thought out however I didnt really feel like reading a 70 page long thread at much-later-than-I-still-feel-like-reading o'clock.
