This morning I woke up and was feeling very tired. It felt like at least a DC15 to get up. I had a d20 next to my bed and I actually rolled it, got a 3, and went back to sleep. Now I'm at work, and facing various tasks that I don't want to do... thinking about assigning DC's and letting the dice decide!!

What are the DC's for your daily obstacles??

DC 12 with a -4 circumstance penalty from only getting 4-5 hours of sleep last night. I pulled a loose thread that turned out to be the thread that held on a button. But I made my Craft check DC 10 and bent a staple into a "U" shape, pushed it through the inside of the shirt, lined up the "U" with the holes in the button and folded the arms of the "U" over, holding the button in place. We'll see if anyone makes their Spot check, DC 16, and notices that I have a button held on by a staple. If I had my needlenose pliers I would have gotten a +2 to my Craft and increased the DC on my co-workers Spot to 18. I failed another Wis check by writing this and showing what a geek I am. ;)

At lunch, the level 1 FastFoodGuy at Burger King managed to role a two on his Profession (Burger Flipper) check and my Whopper came out a little cold in the middle (not to mention that it was missing cheese). I bit into it and luckily passed the Fort save (DC 17) to resist being ill. I drove around and entered the building where I had a hard time getting a new hamburger. Apparently I failed my Diplomacy check with the register worker who just disapeared in the back. When I finaly found a manager, she was not happy that I wanted a new burger, but her low charisma made her intimidate check fail horrably. I receved a new burger (masterwork this time, truely a great sandwich) and was on my way.

Some of my daily skill checks:

Wake up: Will Save DC:14, modifiers include: Strong coffee +1, dire consequences if you are late +9.

Work a 24 hour shift (with a 4-hour sleep period that is frequently interrupted) then work annother eight hours because your relief is "sick".

Fill a perscription correctly while ten people are asking you to do other stuff for them: Concentration DC: 16

Find the guy who's perscription you just filled and tell him he's got the wrong medication: Track DC: 17

Maintain my cool while officers yell at me for stupid reasons: Will save DC: 13

Walk around in 130 (farenheit) degree heat wearing an armored vest and a helmet and carrying a full backpack: Fort save DC: 12

Diagnose disease: Heal DC 18

Sew a guy's face back together: Heal DC:14

It's not as bad as it sounds. At least I won't get fired if I scrrew up.
