Anyway they take damage from just the mere touch of Iron and +1d6 extra damage on a hit from iron/steel weapons. A 7th level Unseelie Fey character gains damage reduction 5/iron and it increases whenever the HD of the characer increases as well. What I was wondering is if an Unseelie Fey became a Warlock would that class feature of the Warlock's damage reduction to cold iron stack? Or would they be calculated separately? |

If you have DR 5/iron and DR 5/cold iron (2 completely different materials), then you effectively have DR 5/-, since iron weapons can't beat the cold iron DR, and cold iron weapons don't beat normal iron DR (as far as I know). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v91/yawgmoth/kittyjig.gif |

You should just cahnge everything over to 5/cold iron or 10/cold iron. But don't go any higher than that, it gets pretty swingy in combat situations. :teach: Also, when faced with two damage reduction types, just take the one that is most favorable for the situation. :fight!: If a fey/magical beast has both damage reduction 5/cold iron and damage reduction 10/magic, use the 10/magic; if the opponent has a magic weapon, use the 5/cold iron; if his weapon is both magic and cold iron, it bypasses both forms of damage reduction. Hope that helped. :D |
