Damage Reduction in 3.5 [Archive] - Wizards Community

is there any official method to translate DR from 3.0 to 3.5 ?
For example how to translate the penetration of "Puissant Fist" of the Sacred Fist PrCl to 3.5 ?

04-08-04, 12:22 PM The easiest way to "translate" 3.0 DR is to look up the the creature in the SRD if you don't own the 3.5 MM.

If the 3.0 creature is not in the SRD/3.5 MM, then look for a "similar" 3.5 creature, and use that.

04-08-04, 12:38 PM In most cases the type of DR is determined by type (fey, lycanthrope etc.)
As for the DR values they tend to scale with hd, just look at a couple of templates/creatures of the same type to get an idea of how it scales.
