najo10 08-19-07, 04:57 AM	Now that D&D 4e is coming and Paizo is done with Dungeon and Dragon magazines, Dave can you please share your version of Dark Sun with the special rules, prestige classes and other material you've created? We would love to see them, allowing us to play your version of Dark Sun while we wait for 4.0 :) Pretty please :) For those that don't know, Dave's dark sun articles for Paizo were edited and had weapon breakage, heat danger and other special rules removed. He also runs his own home brew dark sun game since the 2nd edition and converted alot of dark sun material for 3.5. I would love to see anything he is willing to share now that paizo is done with dark sun and dark sun won't have anything new till its 4.0 book is released.

aushlo 08-19-07, 01:45 PM	I'd be interested. I wasn't aware there was a newer book, although Sandstorm is pretty close. I always thought Dark Sun was both really interesting, and nigh-impossible to pull off. Had a lot going for it if you could manage it though.
najo10 08-19-07, 06:02 PM	There was never a 3.5 Dark Sun book. Dave did the articles published in Dungeon and Dragon magazine by Paizo. Pazio took it upon themselves to edit the articles, removing some of their dark sun feeling rules. Dave Noonan was upset enough about the editing that he made a public announcment pointing out the changes and his disapproval of them. I've been a big fan of Dark Sun since 91, and I agree with Dave that the changes Paizo made hurt what could have been one of the best Dargon issues every (at least for Dark Sun fans). Dave has mentioned all of the various material he has for his own home game, and I like him to share here if WOTC and Paizo don't mind now that 4.0 is coming. I plan to run a Dark Sun game until 4.0 gets here.

Moltke 08-20-07, 05:00 PM	I'd love to see the material. I the Dark Sun campaign world kick you know what! It was original and its non-European world feel really caught my attention! High level characters, killer Dragon Lords, Psionics, non-traditional races, and all the other great stuff made it tons of fun to game in. It would be great to see some of that stuff again!
