day walkers [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-17-04, 07:15 PM i assume we have all have seen the movie blade, where wesley snipes is born half human half vampire. being born a day walker has been done, but what about becoming one by the means of taking a regular vampire (spawn or pure blood) and turning him in to one

ideas of how to do it
writing a spell in holy water on its back
replacing a bone with a rare magical metal
messing up a turn undead spell (intentionally or not)

ideas of disadvantages
insomnia (cant sleep in the day or night)
regularly taking a form of medication to stay one
looses ability to call "chlidren of the night" or other similar ability

01-17-04, 10:52 PM How about they only get their vampire abilities at night, but they also lose (most of) their vampire weaknesses during the day as well? Sort of a "were-vampire" thing, only every night.

01-17-04, 10:55 PM Actually, i think Dragon Magazine printed a couple of half-undead templates, half-vampire i believe is one .... and Blade is exactly what i thought when i read it.

01-18-04, 12:52 AM the only problem that i have with the were-vamp idea (dont get me wrong its a good idea) is that they are no longer solely creature of the night. they are bolth creatures of night and day, being somewhat of an acceptable abomniation. i guess they would be neutral to bolth good & evil.

they cant be good because they were a vampire, but they also cant be evil because they are not a vampire any longer.
