The special power that the deathbound domain offers is (I don't have it in front of me but..) that it allows to command a maximum of 3HD of animated undead intead of 2HD/caster level... One could command a maximum of 2HD/caser level with the animate dead in 3rd edition but in the 3,5 this has changed to 4HD/caser level. Please correct me if I'm mistaken and explain! Thanks for reading! |

The deathbound domain just lets them control +1HD undead/ per caster level so that it brings it up to 5HD On a personal note I think part of it was confused by the fact casting animate dead lets them revive 2HD of undead per caster level. With unhallow in the areas its up to 4HD. I bet they wanted raiseing undead in a normal area to let the deathbound priest to be able to get 3HD of undead per casting of animate dead. |
