| BigJohn4206-04-07, 12:29 PM | BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Brilliant! |

Wow, that's just.... fantastic. I think there may be some questionable rules interpretations, but that is hilarious. |
| Thrivol06-04-07, 12:40 PM | It's impossible to win at D&D. But you just did. Many times. |
| Fallenangel35906-04-07, 12:46 PM | thank you, thank you very much I knew my epic drunken master would be useful for something, lol. I know there are some questionable rules interpruptations, such as does the soulmeld actually effect the penalty, however after comparing characters with the other players, out of game, and ingame, I am not really any more powerful than any of the other characters (except the trumpet archon with clerical level of 22, which for some reason, is having serious trouble doing anything significant in any combat.) The DM even let him recalculate items to amp himself, and reduced the LA by 1, still can't compete with the warforged fighter 21 juggernaut 5, or me, the monk 12 drunken master 14 or the rogue 3 sorceror 2 wildmage 14(not all at in a row) uncanny trickster 3(not a dip, thats the full class) magical trickster 3(again not a dip) and abjurant champion 1 (last level) Regardless, it was deemed the interuptation that is favorable to me, didn't break my character by any means, so it was okay. |
| Shiftkitty06-04-07, 03:28 PM | Dayum! Mind if I borrow your backstory? I was trying to think of a creative explanation for what happened to Lolth, and that was a sight more cretaive than how we removed Corellon Larethian from the pantheon, shot through the eye with his own arrow, pierced the brain, Gruumsh laughing his butt off, I didn't think it was possible. The problem is that we use the idea that deific power is limited and killing a god nets you his or her spot, whether or not you're ready for it. Now my epic/deity part of the campaign is finding out just how many elven gods there are, and the powers are changing hands with some serious consequences. |
| Fallenangel35906-04-07, 03:38 PM | okay... so in your campaign a drunken master, who is now the quasidiety of rivelry took out lolth. Btw, the name of the character is William Quinn, and has now a +96 to bartending. He carrys a permanent mordenkainenes magnificent mansion thats layed out as a bar. Its a 1/day item, that lasts 26 hours. How it works is he has a door frame made out of 4 3.5 foot long planks of wood, and 2 3 foot long planks of wood, He unfolds them (they are connected by hinges at the ends), and when it is shaped into a doorframe, a door appears, you open the door, and inside is a bar. He has a folding chair of salvation (+1 holy folding chair), with a necklace of natural attack +10 truesilver and 2 coldiron gauntlets The diety kept taking serious hits from those gauntlets, and cast greater dispel on them... which did nothing, because they were non magical (quite to the DM, and every player at the tables surprise) He pulled out the chair, and proceded to beat the crap out of lolth. (1.5x strength mod on a 2 handed improvised weapon) He has a tattoo of a badger on the back of his right shoulder... One of his traveling companions, a human wearing a psychodelic skin (look it up in magic item compendium, there is the picture) that is a wildmage dispelled it. This human is named malkov. There, you have some story. |
| AffableDoomwalker06-04-07, 03:55 PM | I think... Holy ****... Win. You win. You just owned... owned... owned an entire church. Imagine all of those poor clerics and matron mothers :D |
| Fallenangel35906-04-07, 07:36 PM | matron mothers of the drow evil spider biatch diety lady? I don't want to meet them. Go eliastrias (or however ye spell her name.) I don't think you could own her much more than this. Alter reality? I don't think so. See, what she did would have been a totally intelligent thing to do... except she knew practically nothing about my character at all, and didn't notice he was drunk enough to matter (wasn't currently drinking, just has that ring on to prevent it from going away). |
| Cartigan06-04-07, 08:01 PM | But... the... wha... how.. but.. wat? |
| Fallenangel35906-04-07, 09:17 PM | I did a drunken master smackdown on lolth, and out did what she could do |
| Shiftkitty06-05-07, 12:53 AM | Wow! So you took Lolth's stuff, then walked out on the drow? Cooool.........! They should have expected nothing less from a portfolio centered on backstabbing. It's probably just as well. I don't see the girls following a male deity! I like the bar, too. Anyway, my call on your story is    |
| Tequila_Sunrise06-05-07, 11:58 AM | I wanted this to actually get some views/comments/randomosity added to it, so I decided to link it from epic to general http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=859596 A very amusing way to kill a god. I've skipped past this thread about a dozen times because the title is so awkward, but decided to check it out to see what could possibly be so cool as to warrant a second thread. I am sorry that I did, because it doesn't. lol. |
| Fallenangel35906-05-07, 01:13 PM | tequila... I'm not sure if I should be flattered or insulted? I have no idea what your post means, at all. |
| SokenzanMarauder06-05-07, 01:38 PM | tequila... I'm not sure if I should be flattered or insulted? I have no idea what your post means, at all. Basically he's saying that your first thread wasn't entertaining enough to warrant you creating another one here. Then he 'lol-ed' at you. Personally, I thought it was somewhat clever (if a bit foolish on your DM's end). -Gene |
| Shiftkitty06-05-07, 03:01 PM | Yeah, when someone makes a remark without some kind of explanation, I tend to disregard it. |
| Fallenangel35906-05-07, 07:44 PM | Ahwell I know this is dungeons and dragons... but occassionally drunks and jokers works in there too :P I laugh at how often players end up in bars, in dnd games... This character definitely amplifies that, being a bartender, and carrying a bar in his pouch :P |
| Korhal IV06-05-07, 09:02 PM | 20s are auto-successes on saves too, sorry. So yes, outright rules breakage there. Not wanting to be a spoilsport, you just might want to keep that rule handy the next time *you* are up against a high DC. |
| IceFractal06-05-07, 09:49 PM | Yes, natural 20 works on a save. However, the divine "maximize rolls" ability doesn't grant you a natural 20, just a 20, so it doesn't automatically succeed. |
| Fallenangel35906-06-07, 04:32 PM | god don't get nat 20s, just 20s, there is a difference |
