| Fixxxer01-18-06, 03:19 AM | Can anyone tell me what the name of the font is that was used at the top of the WotC deluxe character sheets? I'm referring to the font used for the class name...this text: http://www.dndarchive.com/images/wiz_sor1.jpg |
| Board_Rider01-18-06, 09:32 AM | This (http://www.geocities.com/rgfdfaq/tsrfonts.html#links) was the best link I could find. Although it doesn't have your font pictured it is supposedly going to be updated. There are links too which may aid your search. |
| ORC_Paradox01-18-06, 09:53 AM | The closest I've found is Mael (a.k.a the Crow font) |
| Sulaco01-18-06, 09:55 AM | It is the same font used for the titles of the 3e rulebooks (compare the "d" and "a" in "Wizard" to the "d" and "a" in "Handbook" for example). http://www.hillcity-comics.com/role_play/3rd/dd175240.jpg Sorry, I don't recognize it beyond that. As the "TSR & WotC Font Usage FAQ" suggests it is likely a classic antique typeface rather than an elctronic font. Edit: A little digging has turned up this font, Tarantis, which seems close. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y36/TheSulaco/tarantis.jpg Actually on second thought, it's not that close. Mael seems pretty good but I think it has been customized for WotC's use. |
| tikru01-18-06, 11:36 AM | Mael looks very nice, but it seems it only has small case letters. |
| Fixxxer01-18-06, 04:25 PM | I think I can customize Mael to get the effect that I want. Thanks for your help, guys. :) |
