| lucas02-19-06, 07:45 PM | Mine is Orcus Demon Prince of the undead, here is and few points on why I like him. He looks cool. The fact he came back from the dead. is cool. The things he does like occasionally allows his wand to be found by a mortal in order to weak greater chaos and evil among those in the material plane. The fact that he is Prince of undead, he HATES undead. Is funny And he is the nearest to godhood out of all the Demon Princes. |
| Chicharron02-19-06, 08:29 PM | I like all the demon princes, but Jubilex is my favorite. A demon lord of oozes and molds? What could be disgusting and evil as that? |
| Ogre4Hire02-19-06, 08:57 PM | Favorite: Demogorgon. Nothing says evil like two baboon heads stuck atop a serpentine body with life draining tentacles. Runner Up: Baphomet. Nice write-up in this month's Dragon. |
| Sgt_Slaughter94302-19-06, 09:13 PM | Bel because he is a bad:censored: and Asmodeus because he is the prince of princes, the ruler of rulers, the Greatest Demon Among Demons! |
| Chicharron02-19-06, 09:21 PM | not to sound like I'm nitpicking...but he asked about demon princes not devils but while we're on the subject...Mephistopheles is the coolest devil lord |
| MadApe1902-19-06, 09:36 PM | Demon Prince: Orcus or Graz'zt Arch Devil: Mephistopheles |
| Zevox02-19-06, 09:56 PM | Demon Lords? Bah, give me Archdevils over those chaotic loons any day :P . And of those, I favor Mephistopheles and Viscount Mammon. Zevox |
| primemover00302-19-06, 09:58 PM | Graz'zt... Six fingers, glowing green eyes, acid dripping greatsword. Oh yeah. |
| Kessalin Talira02-20-06, 12:57 AM | Graz'zt here, too. Owning three layers of the Abyss isn't too shabby, either. Wish he would have kept Waukeen. |
| Kresalak02-20-06, 01:00 AM | The Ineffable. What? He is the lord of the Phyrexian demons. It's a technicality. Also, Demogorgon is the only Demon Prince. The proper term is Demon Lord. |
| Feor02-20-06, 01:56 AM | I like Yeenoghu, because Gnolls are cool. :D |
| PaTcHeS_00102-20-06, 03:13 AM | I like Frazz Urb lu :P in Dragon issue: 333 i tink |
| Gilganarz_the_reporter02-20-06, 04:36 AM | Gimme Adimarchus any day. |
| Darth_Azalin02-20-06, 08:18 AM | Graz'zt is my demon lord of choice.. and not because he helped me win the state tourney in blood wars.. For archdevil.. it has to be Asmodeus.. his appearance in Castle Greyhawk is classic... |
| Deacon Liadon02-20-06, 08:43 AM | Orcus, former lesser deity and modron primus. Maybe Fraz'urb'lu. There's something about being used as a plot device to demunchify a player that makes me feel all warm and tingly inside. |
| Andorxor02-20-06, 10:26 AM | Laharl is my favorite Demon prince ;) You must love a demon prince that helps a little boy to find his petzombies |
| SnakePlisken02-20-06, 11:04 AM | I like Yeenoghu, because Gnolls are cool. :D first off, gnolls suck :P 2nd is there a listing of all these demons so i can make my choice cuz i dont know much of demons |
| Feor02-20-06, 11:07 AM | Book of Vile Darkness has most of the demon princes and Devil Lords |
| Balor von Balorvitch02-20-06, 03:02 PM | Demon: Graz' zt by far you just can't beat the Black Prince! Devil: Bel, love that Pit Fiend. |
| Khael02-20-06, 03:27 PM | Also, Demogorgon is the only Demon Prince. The proper term is Demon Lord. I though Demogorgon has the title 'Prince of Demons', while being a demon prince (technically demon king, due to holding the title i reckon). And i add a vote for Graz'zt out of the BOVD demon princes. |
| Ozymandias V.02-20-06, 04:21 PM | I hate every one of them and actively seek their permanent destruction in any campaign in which they're involved. |
| Khael02-20-06, 04:52 PM | I hate every one of them and actively seek their permanent destruction in any campaign in which they're involved. Ok then, oh holiest of paladins, for which demon prince do you hold the least loathing? |
| Sgt_Slaughter94302-20-06, 08:31 PM | Graz'zt:the Devil Pimp. Is that why everyone likes him? |
| SOPI02-20-06, 09:13 PM | It's hard for me to decide, so I'm just gonna' give my top 5 for archdevils and demon lords. Archdevils 1. Asmodeus 2. Mephistopheles 3. Baalzebul 4. Fierna 5. Levistus Demon Princes 1. Baphomet 2. Demogorgon 3. Graz'zt 4. Fraz Urb'luu 5. Pazuzu |
| Watchdog_of_Hades02-20-06, 09:18 PM | Jubilex is, without a doubt, the coolest demon lord. Slimey, gooey, icky, sticky, oozey, gloppy... Is there anything he's not? Or if you accept homemade demon lords, Thelisuul, Lord of Glass, is. |
| The White Sorcerer02-21-06, 05:48 AM | Adimarchus, the demon prince of madness, mostly due to the cool shapeshifting ability. |
| The White Sorcerer02-21-06, 05:50 AM | Ok then, oh holiest of paladins, for which demon prince do you hold the least loathing? Or, rather, the most loathing? You know, the guy you love to hate the most? |
| Grand Theft Otto02-21-06, 11:35 AM | Going to have to give it up for Zuggtmoy. The description (and creepy little poem) in her writeup in Dragon were GREAT. The demonomicron articles are really well done, and hope they remain a monthly feature. |
| aelryinth02-21-06, 03:23 PM | Actually, Orcus' formal title is Demon Prince of the Undead. Graz'zt is the Black Prince. Demogorgon is the most individually powerful, hence, the Prince of Demons. He doesn't have the broad power base of Orcus or Graz'zt, however. More of an ancient, primal power. Not sure what Fraz'Urb'Luu is (Prince of Deception?) Can't believe that no one has mentioned Pazuzu. In terms of style, Graz'zt gets my vote. For the devils, I like Mephisto. ===Aelryinth |
| Draktaven02-21-06, 07:23 PM | Or if you accept homemade demon lords, Thelisuul, Lord of Glass, is. Oh you have to elaborate on this. :D |
| Gilganarz_the_reporter02-22-06, 04:16 AM | Adimarchus, the demon prince of madness, mostly due to the cool shapeshifting ability. Not to mention that both of the forms look SO DAMN COOL! |
| The White Sorcerer02-22-06, 04:45 AM | Not to mention that both of the forms look SO DAMN COOL! Forsooth. |
| Etharion02-23-06, 04:54 PM | I agree Mephistopheles is one of my favourite devils. And ill never forget how my 26. lvl. elf wizard killed him with a single Finger of death in Neverwinter Nights. I was trying to beat him for nearly 2 days, and sudenly... BAM!!! He's dead like a doorknob. I checked the box with all the rolls in the game are shown, and it seems that Mephisto rolled a critical 1. What are the odds for that?? I still think thats very unlikely to happen again.... and in a real D&D game.... id like to see the face on the DM that rolled the crit. miss! :D |
| Kresalak02-23-06, 05:13 PM | What are the odds for that?? Either 20:1 or 19:1. I'm not sure exactly how to calculate odds. |
| Shemeska the Marauder02-26-06, 03:54 AM | Unique Yugoloth: Daru Ib Shamiq. Being reponsible for granting the fiends their teleportation ability and the level of whimsical disdain he exudes towards deities says something about the guy. Having had a hand (along with the other Baern) in the creation of the Tanar'ri and Baatezu also says something... I've had far too much fun with him... (http://www.planewalker.com/forums/viewThread.php?intPostID=9243) Abyssal Lord: Pale Night - mother of Graz'zt, Lupercio, and Vucarik, among others. Current 'consort' of Baphomet. One of the singularly oldest of the Abyssal Lords, possibly a pre-Tanar'ri'c Abyssal native. I've always had fun depicting her as a sort of unwilling mother of the Tanar'ri, such as in this particular story in the Baernaloth cycle (http://www.planewalker.com/entry.php?intEntryID=10915) Archdevil: Prince Levistus - he just oozes a level of awesome that Asmodeus is hard pressed to meet. And being the oldest of the current Lords of the 9 next to Asmo himself says something as well. Not 'Ancient Baatorian' old, but it may be that none of the Lords of the 9 actually date back to the original Baatezu migration from the Waste and subsequent conquest of Baator. |
| Elzaban the Ethereal02-26-06, 08:22 AM | For demon princes, Fraz'urb'lu. Deception and illusion is for the win. Also, his cult gets nice outfits. For archdevils, I always liked Geryon. Sucks that he got disposed, or whatever happened to him. For the yugoloths, I never read much material that had them. Only thing that comes to mind is that guy, Infestix, from Gord the Rogue. Although, most of his minions seemed to come across as bumbling failures, so that doesn't help his case. |
