Demonweb Pits Encounter Maps [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-12-08, 12:49 PM Hello all, I am currently preparing Expedition to the Demonweb Pits and I've run into a tad bit of difficulty. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get the player friendly versions of the encounter maps.

Basically I'm looking for this:
A1: Drow Attack! (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/demonweb_maps/103928.jpg)
without the markers for the enemies' starting locations.

I want these to print out and show my players or use as battle maps for minis. However, the markers give away too much info to the players. For example, the above map has the starting location of an invisible NPC. If the party knew she was there it would change everything. Plus, the maps all look great and if I were to redraw them it would look crappy.

If anyone could help me out that would be great.

04-12-08, 03:15 PM Well, in this case you could open the map in Photoshop (or even paintshop) and cut out some of the empty grass patches (a 2x2 patch) and copy+paste them over the npc indicators. 2 minutes work for this particular map.

04-13-08, 01:25 PM I thought about doing that but I was checking to see if anyone else had already done it and save myself some effort. That method isn't too terribly much work but I'm afraid the player's might spot the corrections and get suspicious.
