Is it me or do you think that WotC is milking the ol' "dragons" idea to much?

I would have liked the Year of Dragons better if it fell on a chinese zodiac year of the dragon. Besides the minis (WotDQ and giant dragons), most of the dragon content turns me off. Just buy Draconomicon.

They said that this was going to be the year of the dragon, let it be. I'm not all about dragons either, they're neat, but I'd rather fresh ideas. Hope someone buys the stuff so that WotC can have more money to make better other stuff later.

Isn't your title redundant?

Isn't your title redundant? No. He just repeated himself by saying things over and over again. :P

As for the Year of the Dragon...
The minis are great, and if we end up with a really good adventure or two with dragons as the central antagonist (or even protagonist) I'm all for it.

Here's to next year, too: Year of the Dungeon!

I can stand the year of the dragon if next year is the year of the DUNGEON! :P

I'm personally tired of it. With the exception of the minis all this "Year of the Dragon" crap has been just that, crap. In my opinion at least.
Its not the dragons thats turning me off to the idea, its the crap ideas Wizards is pumping out for it. I honestly cannot wait for this year to end because of it.

I honestly cannot wait for this year to end because of it.The problem with such statements (I honestly can't wait) is that the people making them have no choice but to wait. No matter how honest you are, you have to wait for this year to be over. Nothing you say or do will make it end any sooner than normal. :D

Well, you could go poke a black dragon with a stick, if you know what I mean.

Nope. Not sick of dragons at all. In fact, I say more dragons.

How often do you ever encounter dragons? For all their iconic stature they're pretty rare . . . because they're dragons. Because no DM ever wants to make a dragon 'easy', and/or 'just another encounter' . . . so they only start hitting the table around 7th-10th level, and usually they're the BBEG, so the DM's playing them with a few tricks up their sleeve . . .

. . . then, by 13th level, campaign story-lines usually get a lot darker, with DM's peeping into more obscure source books for something new to scare at their seasoned veteran players. Giant, seventeen-headed fire elemental-templated half-demon slug demi-wraiths yes . . . but not dragons.
