| Guroth the Forsaken07-15-04, 04:19 PM | I saw this thread elsewhere and thought it would be fun to put it here amongst the members. 1.) How many dice do you own? 2.) What is the strangest dice you have? Let's see who's truely the biggest dice geeks out there! :D |
| TyrantOfPants07-15-04, 04:47 PM | I have one complete set that I am very fond of, it was the first set I ever played with, and is quite pink and speckly. This set is also complimented by assorted others. I have more d6's than I can count, having raided all of the other games in the house... |
| Urban Hunter07-15-04, 07:34 PM | I own about 50 dice, and my wierdest one would be my D12, it is elongated so it is about 1-1 1/2 in. by 1/2 in. |
| alexanderwales07-15-04, 08:11 PM | I have: 10d4 19d6 8d8 27d10 6d12 23d20 for a total of 93 dice and: 1d20 that is the size of my fist (not included in above total) 2d6s that have 7,8,J,Q,K, and a Chessex symbol on them instead of 1,2,3,4,5,6. Someone explain to me the purpose of these two? I've just realized that I'm only four dice away from one hundred. Looks like it's time to raid a Yahtzee set ... |
| lotterybucks07-16-04, 12:22 AM | when I first saw clay in 8th grade art, I tryed to make a d20, then a d12 when I failed, then a d8 when that didn't work, then a d6, and all the way down to a weird d3... does anyone own one of those gold plated dice? |
| The Computer Mutt07-16-04, 01:21 AM | 2 D3 ? D6 1 D8 2 D10 1 D12 1 D20 I'm new. |
| Elzaban the Ethereal07-16-04, 06:20 AM | 4 d3's (those old wooden ones with the numbers 1, 2 and 3 painted on them in red and then in green) 5 d4's 34 d6's 9 d8's 6 d10's 5 d12's 6 d20's 2 d%'s Man... I need to get me some more dice... Oh, and for the weirdest dice I have, I have this odd d6 that has two spoons on it, two bowls on it, and two jars on it. A very weird d6 indeed... DM: Roll to see what food you get Player: Aw man, spoon. DM: Well, your character whips out his spoon and starts eating dirt. Player: Aw, man, I should have gotten fajitas... |
| dovewood07-16-04, 09:04 AM | I still have my sacred dice that came with the old D&D Basic Set. the corners on the d20 have been worn from 20+ years of use but it still rolls a fair ammount of crits. I am currently using a set of Pewter Dice that make a very satisfying "thud" when rolled. I think that I will stick with these. For a while at least. |
| Sulaco07-16-04, 09:50 AM | I have enough dice to half fill a paint bucket (actually a Buffy the Vampire Slayer lollipop bucket, but it's the same thing). I have something liek 7 d30's for Bog's sake! The wierdest die I have is a d4 I made myself out of epoxy putty. It is in the shape of a top and you spin it instead of rolling it. |
| Corynth07-16-04, 12:06 PM | Hmm. I've got the normal complement of dice that any gamer might expect. An average of 4 full sets and a few random dice thrown into the mix. On the other hand, I've got some nifty oddities in my collection. d100 d30 d24 d100 (a clear d10 with a smaller d10 inside it) d4-24 (a clear d6 with 3 smaller d6 inside) d3-18 (a clear cube with 3 smaller d6 inside) a set of hematite dice (one of em is scratched up cause I thought it was just plated. Turns out they're solid). And I'm ITCHING to get my hands on those gold-plated dice. Course, I could never play with them. I can't trust my friends with my normal dice. Gold-plated dice wouldn't last a minute on my gaming table. |

Isn't it obvious? It's a deck of cards. 1,2,3,4,5,6 then there's 7,8,9, jack, queen, king, Chessex (ace).. No 9 though. Hmm. Ah! If it's got the NUMBER 6 instead of a bunch of dots, then if you roll it and it ends up upside-down, it'd be a 9 and not a 6. That way they can fit a 12 card deck onto 2d6. You can play poker. |
| Fi'Irdray07-16-04, 03:36 PM | 70 dice... weirdest ones would be my set of the crystal shaped ones from crystal caste... |
| BatteryPowered707-16-04, 06:12 PM | I have but two sets of dice, a d10 from the Vampire the Masquerade game with a rose for a 1 (roses are harmful to vampires in said game) and a d20 that goes from 1 to 10 twice (I had to color half of the numbers red [for the ones] and the other half blue [for the tens]). |
