Different Character Sheets [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-15-06, 03:19 AM Hi, I have been using the standard character sheets in the PHB 3.5 and and wondering if there are any out there fan made or otherwise that you prefer. I am thinking about designing my own. I find that the feats section and special abilities get a little cramped along with the spells. The Eberron one looks somewhat like what im looking for. Any sugestions? thank you and happy gaming.

I vastly prefer the Eberron character sheets to any of the others. However, be advised that they still have only twelve spaces for feats.

Where can I even start?

I prefer Mad Irishman's (http://www.unc.edu/~murphy/mad_irishman/) sheets, especially the old-school ones like the Judges Guild version. Ema's (http://www.emass-web.com/) character sheets are also popular with some folks and are available in various places. For websites with other character sheets try dndresources.com or rpgsheets.com. That will get you started finding one - or at least show you what your "competition" is if you still want to design your own.

I used to design my own but gave it up with 3.0 as being too much work with my having to use inferior software for the task.

Although I find I almost never have any use for that third page (the spells/powers/henchmen section) so I replace it with something else like the psionic sheet (http://www.bigupload.com/download_file.php?id_file=1054E41E) I wrote or just leave it blank.

01-16-06, 10:15 AM While on the subject of 3.5 character sheets, does it bother anyone else that the removed the melee/ranged attack bonus boxes? I have a hard enough time trying to figure out where my players get the numbers in the first place! (Not to mention that it's hard enough even WITH those boxes to figure out where they got there "to hit" bonuses... sheesh!). I almost considered using the 3.0 sheets, only the skills were all messed up.

I'll have to take a look at those links though. I've never been able to find sheets which were exactly what I wanted, but if those come with reccomendations they must not be too bad, eh?
