| ToastedAmphibian11-29-07, 08:41 PM | I've recently purchased a projector and hope to use it while DMing. Ive aquired a PDF of some mapping tiles (Legally) and im looking for a good way to use them on teh computer. Much to my despare i found that they are only inteded to be printed, cut out, and arranged (What a pain) I cropped them out of the pd and saved them as individual files, and tried arranging them in photoshop but found it was a very annoying and inefficent process. So i was wondering if anyone could recommend a software program or process that would allow me to do what i want without having to invest 3 weeks on each map. Edit: Im looking at Dungeon Crafter and AutoREALM. Does anyone have any experience with these programs that can tell me if they are worth while? |

I myself use DungeonForge, and I'm beginning to use AutoRealm so I'm of little use there. And I have the sneaky suspicion I'm getting Campaign Cartographer 3 for Christmas...just don't tell my wife I'm on to her :) |

I followed instructions from another user and was amazed how great this is to create rpg maps. It also works great for diagional walls. Here is an image that I created and quickly added some OpenRPG minis: http://outpostatlantis.com/images/map1.JPG I created this map and posted here under a different thread to ask a DM question And its free! If you want the thread with the quick reference how to make the basic map let me know http://www.gimp.org/ |
