Except that Jackson's stats were for GURPS, IIRC.

I'll try to put full stats up later, but for Rincewind, I'd make him a Expert 13/Adept 1 with the Run feat.

There was a one-off Discworld adventure published for 2e about 15 years ago. I think it was in Dungeon magazine. I did play it once, but I didn't own it, so I can only remember fragments. Eg Carrot had 18/00 Strength (=23 in 3rd Ed) and the Librarian 19 Strength (=24). Discworld Dwarves had the "Smell Coins" racial feature. I know a lot of the the early characters were in it (those who live in Ankh-morpork, anyway).

Yes.

It's called a 'joke'.

Not really. There is a whole GURPS Discworld Campaign Setting.

I would love to run a D&D game in a Discworld setting. It would help if I could get my hands on the official Discworld rpg though.

I have a small question while were here. Sometimes when people talk about a stat, they put 18/00 like above. Could anyone detail the rhyme or reason?

(My favorite character is definately Rincewind. Id make him for a campaign if anyone I know knew anything about the series. They would probably just get angry that I would be running most of the time.)

Back in the old days, stats only went to 25. To help widen the range on strength, they had exceptional strength for warriors with an 18 that included percentile, so a fighter, for example, could have 18/01 to 18/00.

It was dropped when 3rd edition came out, I don't know if GURPS used it and if they did, if they still do.

I remember there was a diskworld d&d thread a while back. Some good stuff got posted, by me and others. I can't remember that much. I did wind up making a Watchman class based on Sam Vimes. It would fit most Watch members (though Carrot would be a Knigh, from the PHB2). Let me see if I can find it... ah, here it is. (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=952327)
They get sneak attack, bonus to gather information and knowledge (local) type checks, bardic knowledge with local knowledge, rogue skills (eventually), extra attacks of opportunity and some fighter bonus feats. The idea is to have a guy who knows the city and how to get info out of the local crooks, can sneak around and fight dirty, but also survive in a stand-up fight.

I did try to stat up some of the characters - I recall the luggage was a sentiant box of holding/devouring which had 1 slam attack and 1 special attack, which was an attempt to eat you, reflex save or be eaten.
Rincewind had Expeditious Retreat as a spell like ability at will.
The librarian was a barabarian. Susan was a fighter with maxed out intimidate and an insane Charisma to back it up.
And that's about all I got at the time.

We've just been talking about Rincewinds stats in this thread (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=995728). It is one view of his abilities.

I've been looking for that Discworld adventure I mentioned; it doesn't appear to have been in Dungeon. It might have been White Dwarf 82 ("A Stroll Across the Discworld").

I also found this which might be of interest; http://www.weirdness-central.co.uk/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=4
