I've got the 3.0 version of the Dungeon Master's Guide. I've read some reviews on the internet that say not much changed between 3.0 and 3.5. Does the DMG for 3 work with 3.5? Reading through it, it seems to mesh pretty well. How different is the 3.5 version from the 3.0?

I'm not sure how much it changed but the DMG is mostly fluff to begin with. Just make sure you reference the SRD (http://www.d20srd.org/) for Magic Items and PrC's.

Between the two, you should be bale to manage pretty alright.

That's what I thought/hoped. Thanks!

The most important thing in any edition of the DMG, especially the 3.x ones, has always been the XP chart.

I don't recall it being different between the 3.0/3.5 editions. I could be wrong though, it's been many a year since I looked through a 3.0 DMG.... And if I am wrong it doesn't differ by much.

After that I would think the biggest changes would be within the prestige classes.

I wouldn't worry about the differences between magic items myself. I've always just used whatever items I liked, regardless of edition, in my games.

So, if you're happy with the XPs, the classes, and the magic items, just keep using what you've got.

I have never seen a DMG 3.0 (I started playing just before 3.5 and didn't start DMing until after 3.5 was released).

But, you can get most of what you need in the SRD (link in my sig). It has most of the stuff from PHB, DMG, MM, ELH, XPH, UA, and some stuff from Deities & Demigods.

The 3.5 DMG has a few minor changes to magic items (especially prices for items granting movement). It also has planar and epic level information.

...although I have a feeling in about 8 months, there will be even more incompatability issues with the 3.0 DMG :P

I do have a copy of the SRD downloaded from the Wizards website, and I do read through it. I seems to me that the DMG is mostly conceptual information. It seems to mesh well to me, I'll just keep rollin' with what I've got.
