| Frogmantis09-02-07, 03:20 AM | Never played in the Eberron campaign setting, but i'm going to be using them; i'm running a desert campaign. anyway, their vulnerability to ability drain and damage, and nonlethal damage, coupled with their innability to heal themselves naturally somewhat confuses me. how do they heal ability damage? and how is it that they can take non-lethal damage? i'd like both mechanical and figurative help, please. |
| Ozymandias V.09-02-07, 03:13 PM | They can take nonlethal damage because they have lots of organic material in their construction. <_< As for the healing thing, I have no clue. The race entry in the ECS doesn't specify. That IS a rather serious oversight, isn't it? |
| Edymnion09-02-07, 06:26 PM | The inability to heal naturally only applies to lethal damage. Nonlethal and ability damage heal normally. |
| Frogmantis09-02-07, 11:38 PM | Hey, thanks guys, or gals! Its going to be fun running these guys, i just needed some clarification. |
| Edymnion09-03-07, 12:07 AM | Just remember that most of their immunities tend to get overlooked because they're pretty uncomon things in most games. So add some stuff to help make the WF feel differant in play. If you're doing an underground dungeon, have part of it be flooded. Warforged don't breath, so they can wander around underwater all they want without worrying about it (except for cold and depth, but that shouldn't be an issue with normal dungeon flooding). |
| LoneStranger09-03-07, 01:35 AM | And even with the cold and depth I found something you can apply to armor so a Warforged can walk along the ocean floor. But yeah I do have to agree about throwing a puzzle in once or twice that can be solved by a warforged easily, and by others with some more difficulty. |
