| robitusinz06-25-07, 11:23 AM | I'm probably not the first, but I'm really interested in creating a "Transformer"-type of character. The campaign I'll be playing in won't be Eberron, but FR, though the DM is liberal-within-reason and the Warforged character would fit in perfectly as a warrior sent from the plane of Law to combat the forces of Chaos which are currently trying to overrun Toril. That out of the way, I'd like ideas on how best to min/max this character. Ideally, I would like to have a character who primarily blasts his way through combat (Blastificer?), but decently balanced to take a few hits, and as a side-effect be able to handle a lot of non-combat situations through his tinkering abilities. I would like some advice on prestige classes (what have you seen so far that looked cool to you?), and advice on interesting magical items (so I'll have wands and stat-enhancers...what non-typical items have you seen that are interesting to use?), as well as any general advice one would have. Thanks a lot! |

Animated Objects and Effigy creatures are both fair game. |

As for Transformer, I'm not very interested in forcing the entire Transformer paradigm into the character...I just mentioned it so people understood where my inspiration was comming from. At some point, I may work something out regarding transforming, but that's not the main focus right now. I want to build a good D&D character that's inspired by say, Optimus Prime...I don't want to recreate Optimus. :D Thanks again! |
