03-09-07, 08:02 PM First: Do you think a warforged would be able to buy or have made for him a dedicated wright homuncullis (sp?, don't have books on me)to repair him during if it did not have the ability to make one for itself? I guess the question is can anyone other than the creator use a homuncullis?

Second: Would using a dedicated wright in this way be any more effective than the WF simply repairing itself. I don't have my eberron book with me right now so I can't look up the repair warforged rules (Check minus 15 or something) or exactly how the dedicated wright works.

03-09-07, 08:11 PM 1) No, the Homunculus caster bond is unseverable (except for death and/or destruction) and untransplantable. The proper master of the Homunculus could command the Dedicated Wight to repair your warforged though.

2) Perhaps. The Dedicated Wight has 2 Craft skills, one with Skills Focus (Craft). For the first few levels it is possible the Wight would be better at repairing your warforged then the warforged it's self.

This brings up an interesting question to me. A homunculus require blood from it's creator to be made, does that exclude warforged artificers from making them?

Not at all. While warforged do not have blood per se, they do have alchemical fluids/saps running through thier organic parts. At least that is my understanding of warforged physiology.;)
