| zstinger06-28-07, 09:06 AM | I have noticed that Edymnion's newest artificer guide has "solved" the two main sticking points of the artificer, namely: 1) Metamagic stacking with metamagic spell trigger; and 2) Effect of quicken spell with metamagic spell trigger I shall quote the relevant sections of his guide: The official word is that the intention of this ability is that it can only apply one metamagic trigger at a time... It has since been officially clarified that the intent of Metamagic Spell Trigger was to only allow a single metamagic per trigger... The most powerful of the metamagic feats for the Blastificer however is Quicken Spell, which officially allows you to reduce the time it takes to activate the wand to a swift action. You can only do this once per round, but it will let you double your damage output by simply allowing you to fire your wand twice as many times per round. I would appreciate if anyone here can point me to the official word on the above. I have found Keith Baker's views on metamagic stacking but is that as official as it gets? He has always maintained that he is not the authority on rules. I have no luck finding any official reference to the quicken spell issue. Can someone please enlighten me? I know the arguments for and against, the rules references in DMG and SpC so please do not rehash the argument. Thanks. |
