If a player wanted to make an Artificer who wore a non-magical ring on each finger (10 rings) and then used infusions to infuse the rings with abilities, would this break any rules.

The rules state that you can only wear 1 magical ring on each hand (governing feats or prestige class abilities of course). But would the rings be considered magical if infused with an infusion? Infusions are not classified as divine or arcane magic, but do they classify as magic for this purpose?

Would you allow this as a DM?

Mandarin's rings are a cool concept. In terms of mechanics, while he shouldn't have infusions in more thant 2 rings at a time, he can (and should if he's got the time) put more than one infusion into each of the 2 rings. While this means that he gets no mechanical advantage for wearing more than 2 rings, it does mean that a foe will have a slightly harder time determining which rings are the infused ones.

So when an item is infused with an Artifcer's abilities, said item is considered magic?

Correction, actually.
The limit to two magical rings at a time only applies to actual magical rings.
Wearing 10 rings and simply using them as the material focus for spell storing infusions is not making them into magical rings, so the limit doesn't apply.

Remember, the spell storing infusions are technically turning the item into a one charge wand.

Yeah, but what about other infusions, skill enhancing, etc.

Yeah, but what about other infusions, skill enhancing, etc. What about them? Using items as the focus for your infusions means it doesn't matter what the item focus is. If they're all rings you're wearing, or pebbles in your pouch, or the ground beneath your feat, it doesn't matter. Your only limitations are how many infusions you can get in place before the durations wear off, and how many differant things you have to infuse at a time to begin with.
