| PiccaloJr06-07-07, 09:10 PM | Ok guys, I'm shooting for the ultimate Pirate/Captain/Rogue-ish/Total Jack Sparrow Rip off-ish character. From House Lyrandar with the Least and possibly Lesser Mark of Storm. I'm looking for him to have a decent mix of arcane and buffing ability with a melee aspect as well. At 1st I thought Bard then Bard/Swashbuckler, but the ideas kept coming and coming. SO I'm turning to you great minds for a hand. Thanks ahead of time guys/gals. I appreciate any info/suggestions you all have on builds and such. Class Ideas: Swashbuckler (CW) Swordsage (ToB) Warblade (ToB) Rogue Bard Prestige Class Ideas: Arcane Duelist - http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/re/20030224a Duelist (DMG) Blade singer (Complete Warrior) Dread Pirate (Complete Adventurer) Windwright Captain (Eberron - Explorers Handbook) Legendary Captain (Stormwrack) Storm Sentry (Eberron - Dragonmarked) Feat Ideas: Leadership - 100% sure I'm taking this one, so factor that in if possible. Improved Feint - maybe Snowflake Wardance - Saw it in other build ideas, kinda liked it. -Piccalo- ^_^ |
| Need_A_Life06-08-07, 11:29 AM | Swashbuckler, rogue or bard. Max out your Bluff... Take Profession (Sailor) If you're using Flaws, try to get My Hat! [Flaw] You have a really cool hat and will do anything to keep it. Drawback: Whenever you are not wearing your hat of choice, you take a -2 morale penalty to will saves and all social skills (bluff, diplomacy, sense motive etc.). If you use a hat similar to your own until you can recover your own hat, the penalty is halved. If your hat is destroyed, you lose 50XP per level (Fortitude save 20 reduces this amount by half). You may designate a new hat, but may do this no earlier than 1 week after the first hat has been irrevocably destroyed during which time you take the penalty described above. Or, you could try a serious one. Cheers! |

| Phantomcrossing06-09-07, 07:23 AM | Rogue/Swashbuckler with the feat from Complete Scoundrel which lets the levels stack for sneak attack and your dodge bonus. Einhander feat from PHB II, Brachiation from Complete Adventurer, and maybe some levels of Dragon Marked Heir. |
