| Marendithas_the_Necro05-23-07, 10:30 AM | So that's my question, I think I read somewhere that a warforged can repair himself with craft. Can someone tell me if it's right or not? |
| Subtle Knife05-23-07, 10:42 AM | Anyone can repair a warforged with the appropriate craft skills, including the injured warforged itself. SK |
| Marendithas_the_Necro05-23-07, 12:45 PM | how the amount? I know the craft skill but it's not too clear What is the DC? http://www.d20srd.org/srd/skills/craft.htm |
| MDosantos05-23-07, 01:22 PM | I think you heal as many HP as your craft check -15 or -20 |
| Cifer05-23-07, 03:09 PM | It's right in the Eberron skills section - and a fine way to pass those 8 hours the fleshies need for resting, as long as they've got no problem with the clanking and hammering. *g* |
| Edymnion05-23-07, 05:42 PM | Its in the WF racial entry. You do own a book that has the WF racial entry in it, right? Or have access to one? |
| Bluebrush05-23-07, 07:41 PM | It's in the skills section of the Eberron book. Basically, repairs take eight hours. Whoever does the repairs makes a craft check (Using one of a fairly wide variety of craft skills, such as blacksmithing, gemcutting, sculpting, and so fourth) at the end of those eight hours. The amount of damage repaired is equal to the roll, minus 15. So, if someone with a Craft (armoursmithing) modifier of 12 makes an attempt to repair a warforged and rolls a 7, they restore 4 points of damage. (12+7-15=4) You can take 10 on this check, if you so desire, and there's a specific "Warforged repair kit" in the equipment chapter, though it's not strictly nescessary for such checks. |
| LoneStranger05-23-07, 07:42 PM | For 8 hours of uninterrupted work you repair hit points on a Warforged of <skill check> - 15. The particular skill used is normally up to the DM but I usually take all the craft variations they suggest to make sure I'm covered. Yes I do play Warforged, fun race I think. |
| Marendithas_the_Necro05-23-07, 10:43 PM | cool thanks, I found it. Can he do that and heal 0 dmg if it does :(1d20=4+4(craft modifier)= 8-15= -7, does it mean 0dmg or only 1 ? |
| gensuke62605-23-07, 11:04 PM | I think if you roll 0 or less, you don't make any significant progress on the repair check. On the bright side, you can't kill yourself with a botched repair job...I think. |
| Marendithas_the_Necro05-23-07, 11:55 PM | :D thanks you guys |
| LoneStranger05-24-07, 07:10 PM | No you just fail in the attempt, there's no listed complication associated with a botch. Now of course if your warforged gets on the GM's nerves enough if you play him the right way that may get house-ruled. |
