Cataclysm Mage [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-30-07, 04:36 PM I'm having a bit of trouble finding a starting class to go well with a cataclysm mage. Tried warlock but found that it isn't caster level but arcane spells of certain levels so that killed that great idea...any suggestions?? :confused:

12-03-07, 10:58 AM Can't go wrong with Wizard and Sorcerer. Bards also make a nice option, as their combination of Arcane casting and inclination towards the collection of history and facts (or rumors) makes it easy to incorporate the class into the character's progression.

12-04-07, 12:34 PM Yes a bard is a good option, it takes longer to get into the PrC but it makes the class more ineresting in many way due to the fact that you will be forced to rely more on the class abilities rather than your own arcane might.
