I'd think there would be quite a few Abolishers affiliated with the Gatekeepers, but when I saw the PrC for Keeper of the Cerulean Sign it got me to thinking. It's primarily a Bard PrC and when I think Bards in connection to fighting Aberrations, I think Hobgoblins. Would it make sense for a Keepers of the Cerulean Sign to be a group founded by goblinoids in an effort to fight back against the invading madness from Xoriat, much the same as the Gatekeeper druids were founded (by a dragon) within the Orcish community to do the same thing? Maybe the Keepers haven't been around as long as the Gatekeepers; maybe they were founded AFTER the invasion from Xoriat, by hobgoblins who wanted to make sure that "some things that should not be forgotten" never are. What do you think? Has this been officially addressed before? - Ron ^*^ |

Could be, though you'd have a hard time convincing some gobbos that the Orcs were the ones who came up with the original rites. I really like the concept behind the remnants of Dhakaan and the barbaric Orcs being forced into an alliance that neither of them would likely have chosen on their own in order to defeat the Daelkyr. Would make a great campaign, I think, if the local players were willing to go along with it. - Ron ^*^ |
