changeling - minor shape change question [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-29-07, 01:11 PM From hat I've read, I'd say yes. Minor Shapechange and the disguise kit to change the body's appearance, and then Disguise Self changing the clothes and already existing body details.

However if someone interacts with you, they get a Will Save to see through the +10 bonus provided by the Disguise Self spell. If you just go with the Minor Shapechange and disguise kit, you don't have to worry about that.

So be pretty detailed about what abilities, skills, and spells you're using to emulate which features.

-chrisYes, one is an unnamed bonus, and two are circumstance bonuses (at least I think the skill check counts as a circumstance bonus), which all stack.

But remember, its Eberron. People know there are Changelings out there, and low level magic is common enough that people won't be surprised by Disguise Self or a Hat of Disguise. So you won't be able to just walk into a bank while looking like somebody important and take all the money out, because they will know to check for imposters.
