So, I'm working on a character to play in the Eberron game I've been running for my group; looks like I may be able to play for a little while, and I wanted to play something memorable. I hit on the idea of a kobold.

Mighty Vermithorax is a kobold, an irsvern (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ebds/20050321a) ("one above") from a small tribe in the Seawall Mountains. A devoted student of history and arcana, he is also extremely religious. He believes that the draconic deities are archetypes, ideas or concepts given existence, that dragons can aspire to, and thereby achieve divinity. Through his studies, Vermithorax has become convinced that kobolds can achieve this also.

For his hubris, MV has been cast out of the community; this is of little consequence to him. He believes he can achieve godhood -- one little tribe cannot contain a god! So, he has entered the larger world, plying his skills in an attempt to make ends meet while he researches the true nature of the divine.

I've been thinking of possible base classes for this guy. I'd like something that has a draconic flavor. Right now, I'm leaning toward dragon shaman (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ebee/20060911a) (from PHB II, something like a marshal but he gets a breath weapon and develops draconic features) or dragonfire adept (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20060912a&page=2) (from Dragon Magic, something like a warlock but focused on dragonfire breath weapon and with invocations that duplicate dragonic abilities), but I'd be open to ideas. I've given him the Dragonwrought and Dragon Wings feats (from Races of the Dragon), so he has the Dragon type and gains wings at 3rd level; this was necessary to make him as close as I could get to an irsvern without an official race.

Anyway, I'm curious if anyone has any ideas on additional Eberron flavor I can give this guy?
