| Onslaught[IT]07-22-07, 07:54 PM | Hello all, I'm gonna play a 7th level cleric of dol arrah in the next couple days... but I don't know witch feats my character will have! He'll be a mix of healing and fighting, with war domain and one level in radiant servent PrC (I couldn't find one better... besides, it's just like the cleric with a few pluses for 2 less hp...). Could you guys give me feat ideas? Any source will do, except Complete Champion (d'oh). Thanks! |

I think that goes well with a halberd-wielding cleric of Dol Arrah, both because halberds help with tripping and because it's a non-lethal combat technique that seems good for a follower of a goddess of justice, who seems like he'd sometimes (if not always) want to bring 'em back alive. Augment Healing (Complete Divine) will extend your healing spells a bit. Note: Augment Healing is not metamagic. It's somewhat uncertain how it interacts with spellcasting items such as wands; my view is that either augment healing should allow a creator who creates a healing item to imbue it into the item created (i.e., a cleric with augment healing who creates a wand of cure light wounds creates a wand that heals 1d8 + 3, rather than 1d8 + 1, regardless of who uses it), or that it allows the user to use the item and apply the feat (i.e., a cleric with augment healing who uses a wand of cure light wounds heals 1d8 + 3, rather than 1d8 + 1, regardless of who originally created it.). I don't think it should be both, and I don't think it should be neither, but I do think it should be one or the other. Most people, though, think that augment healing should only apply to a spell cast by the person possessing the feat from one of his own spell slots -- i.e., it doesn't work with items at all. You might grab a handy item creation feat at some point. Craft Wand, Craft Wondrous Item, etc: something to do in your down time. Of course, thematically, that might not be what you're going for, since you're dedicated to Dol Arrah, goddess of kickass honorable justice, not Onatar, Kol Korran, or another more materialistic deity. |
| Onslaught[IT]07-23-07, 10:09 AM | I'll have to re-arrange my atributes (35 point buy), but improved trip is one of the best options... I'll search Faiths of Eberron for something useful, too. My friends suggested Divine Ward, but I'm not a big fan of the "walking healing potion" cleric. As you said, I just want to kick some ass in the name os justice! I'm in doubt aout items, too... Should I get a gauntlet of ogre power, even if it doesn't stack with Divine Power? Should I get a CLock of resistance +1, or there's a better option out there? |
| Koesherbacon07-23-07, 11:04 AM | What book is Divine Ward in? Again, the items inside of Faiths of Eberron would be a great idea to check out! |
| DarkWarriorKarg07-23-07, 11:04 AM | For a radiant servent? Disciple of the Sun. Spend 2 trurn attempts, destroy what you turn. rather handy when, at higher levels, you can turn, but the big undead have more HD than you do. |

| Koesherbacon07-23-07, 11:45 AM | Ah thanks. That's one of the books I don't yet own. DarkWarriorKarg's idea is a good one to check out as well |
