At the moment I am in the brainstorming phase for a new Eberron character which is going to be a Revenant Blade. I am not sure yet what exactly to do with it, so I am looking for ideas regarding anything from feats over classes and prestige classes to items, spells, maneuvres and the like that fit the flavour of Valenar and the Revenant Blades. If you have ideas I would appreciate your help to collect the different possibilities for such a character.

Two ideas as a starting point:
* The Eternal Blade seems to be a great match in flavor. Though the ancestor here may be a bit too... mundane compared to the Revenant Blade.
* An Ancetral Relic could be a good story point...

Anything else? ;)

If you've got access to ToB, Desert Wind is very good for the Valenar in general. Which PrC is Revenant Blade? I remember it as being pretty hardcore, but cannot for the life of me remember the flavour, and I have no idea where my copy of PGtE is.

I put together a Swordsage/Revenant Blade/Eternal Blade once, and it was incredible! Dervish was also a solid alternative, though more prerequisite- intensive.

I also like the Combat Focus-related feats from the PHBII.

I would go monk. Revenant Blades and othe valenar seem to make great use of speed. Take the feat that allows you to use you two blades scimitar with furry of blows as on of your monk feats.

Desert Wind. Check.
The Revenant Blades are an order of 'hardcore' warriors who have an even stronger relationship to their ancestors than normal Valenar Elves and can draw on the powers of the ancient heroes of Xen'drik. They thrieve to become just like their chosen ancestor, and because of this they even hide their faces to let others see only an amulet which represents their patron. An advanced Revenant Blade can treat his both ends of the double scimitar as two-handed weapons and may seek to find their patron's double scimitar.

Anyone who wants to correct any mistakes?

Dervish fits great flovor-wise. Thanks!

Yeah, I'll keep that in mind, I thought about Martial Monk (Dragon Magazine) as entry instead of ranger - but I do not want to step on another player#s toes who may want to play a Kalashtar monk.

How are you going to step on the other player's toss by going monk. Two monk, or a monk and another fighter type they can work just as well together. I say make the character any way you think you can get the most out of it. I would stay away from the ToB. It is, well, over the top. Very anime Best to be left in Exalted. You don't need all the fancy tricks just learn to hit things, hard and fast.

Dervish works great with Revenant Blade, as does Frenzied Berzerker.

Well, maybe it is just that I am hesitating to pick the same class. Though it could be fun, to see how different characters may develop later on.

BTW: Isn't the monk feat from ECS only for double swords and not double scimitars?

I am not against ToB per se. But I think that the Eternal Blade may almost dimish the concept, because there the spirit is too 'real'.

I personally do not like the Frenzied Berserker, but it fits wuite well. The Dervish on the other hand is definately an option.

Are there any other suggestions?

I still think monl would be a good base class for a valenar elf but I forgot they would notget ride as a class skill, a must for a valenar. But some more feats for you from the PGE you may want to look at. Bladebearer of the Valenar and Shield of Blades. Both are good feats for one using scimitar adding to attack damage and ac. Shield of Blades is a bit hard to get but if you do go monk or something else with a lot of feats like warblade it would be worth it.
