dragonkin in ebberon? [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-23-07, 11:08 PM I thought that I saw something on these guys in one of the books but I can't seem to find it now. Does anyone know where this race would fit in this world?

I can't recall ever seeing them in any Eberron book. I have not read the Dragonomicon perhaps they are in there with ideas for conversion to Eberron? Or a Dragon article? Anyways...

I think of any place we know so far they'd make the most sense serving Rashaak (sp?) in Haka'torvak (sp?) as favored servants. Make their creation something dragons can do through some ritual or just Rashaak can do and voila.

Dragonkin are described (in MoF anyways) as the cousins of dragons, They are not created by any ritual.
And their greed makes them unsuitable as permanent servants unless you keep giving them magical trinkets.

Yeah it's called adapting crappy Faerun stuff into Eberron. :rolleyes: Notice I said "MAKE" their creation. IE !change! It's pretty weak to just throw stuff from outside a setting into it wholesale. Just throwing in "cousins" to dragons with the backstory Dragons have in Eberron is silly and laughable. We already have kobolds filling that role anyways.

As for their greed. Rashaak is a very powerful half-fiendish dragon sitting on top of an ancient important ruin from the Age of Fiends.... I'm sure his hoard of wealth and knowledge is not only enormous but continues to grow. Besides there's the justification you need for one or more to leave and do something else aka whatever the DM wants them to be up to.
