| Romulus LoneWolf11-27-07, 05:12 PM | I'd picture the Dragons of Sarlona as essentially living under siege, in an uneasy truce with the Inspired.. The Quori have discovered the dragons were behind the magical rite the giants used to sever Dal Quor's connection to Eberron, and realize that if they give the dragons cause to see them as a threat, they might pull off something worst. Which is not to say they are completly powerless, however. For all their ancient power and knowledge, dragons dream like most other creatures on Eberron, which means the Quori know many of their secrets. Thus, the Inspired favor a more subtle approach to dealing with the dragons. They also realize the Lords of Dust and other demons are a threat to their reign, and knowing that the dragons seek to thwart them, the Inspired are more then happy to let the dragons serve as their catspaws, letting them handle the demons while they concern themselves with other matters. The dragons, meanwhile, are more preoccupied with the Draconic Prophecy and the schemes of the Lords of Dust. As such, their attitude concerning the Quori, the Inspired and the Dreaming Dark is "keep an eye on the matter, but leave it on the back burner." ...Of course, their assessment of the Inspired's threat potential might change, once they discover their plans for breeding Gem Dragons... |

| Belabras11-27-07, 05:56 PM | Amaril - that was certainly implied in Races of Eberron. On the whole dream issue: It isn't mentioned anywhere but Gates of Night, but there seems to be a draconic method of protecting dreams. Specifically the Draconic Eidolon in Dal Quor. So not only do the dragons not have the same gods as everyone else, they also don't have the same dreams. Outside of that, Romulus is right about the uneasy truce between Riedra and Argonessan. It doesn't stop the dragons from maintaining the Storm Guardians, but they seem uninterested in engaging in all out war with the Dreaming Dark. For their part, the Quorii are incredibly careful around dragons and have a strict policy of non-interferance with all but the most destructive rogues. |
