| Rechan05-12-07, 08:43 PM | Okay, I've seen this word all over the boards. I know it comes from "Eye of the Lich Queen", but I looked in the adventure and coudln't really find it in the table of contents, nor the index. What are these things? |
| Yadot05-12-07, 09:43 PM | Dragonspawn were presented in the MMIII as the corrupted spawn of Tiamat. I don't know much about them other than that their Eberron conversion in the MMIII was terrrible. |
| WarlockDa05-13-07, 11:13 AM | From what I've read else where on the boards Keith has made a much better adaptation of the Dragonspawn in the Dragons of Eberron supplement. Course that's several months away :( I've been planning to use them as corruptions. For any resurrgent demon, what better warrior to send than a corrupted version of the "great foe" from Demon-Dragon wars. Now was far was details, there's quite a many different versions. There's humanoid dragonspawn like the Redspawn Arcaniss, or the Greenspawn Sneak, there's a blackspawn that's like a half demon spider thing, a charging electric bluespawn dog thing, etc etc. |
| Rechan05-13-07, 12:37 PM | Thanks! You know, I imagine that you could pull off the same trick with Dragontouched (or whatever they are from Races of the Dragon). |
| mhacdebhandia05-13-07, 05:38 PM | They're in Monster Manual IV, for the record, not Monster Manual III. |
| Yadot05-15-07, 01:57 AM | They're in Monster Manual IV, for the record, not Monster Manual III. :embarrass That's what I get for posting away from my books. Does anyone know where the thread is that said Kieth was doing dragonspawn conversions? |
| WarlockDa05-15-07, 08:07 PM | http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=12361957 granted it's not in KB's own words....but enough for me to look forward to DoE even more. |
| SSj3goblin05-16-07, 09:33 AM | Could someone please just tell what are they explained as in Eyes of the lich queen? I won't buy dragons of Eberron as I'll be in appartement then so D&D books won't be on top of the "needed" list and even if I could afford them, I won't wait 6 months and pay 50$ to know: How did they adapt the dragonspawns to Eberron? Please just tell me. I need that info. |
| Dragom05-16-07, 04:22 PM | And be beaten bloody by Wizards' lawer ninja? No thanks. |
| WarlockDa05-16-07, 06:30 PM | Barnes and Noble or Books a Million could tell you :) The book isn't seal wrapped so you can flip through it. As far as I've read they didn't give a whole lot details on how they has a whole (meaning each type of spawn) were adapted....only certain individuals,....which seems adventure specific. |
