| Romulus LoneWolf02-21-07, 06:42 AM | Just something I thought about today: a tribe of Xen'drick Drow with a matriarchal Amazon culture, worshipping Lolth rather then Vulkoor... ...That's all I got about that idea, really. |
| Charles Phipps02-21-07, 07:10 AM | Instead of Lolth, I recommend the Fury. :-) Same basic principle except you'll be more Wild and less Spider kissers. |
| MadLetter02-21-07, 07:44 AM | And you are less Forotten Realmish... which will please many Eberronians :) |
| DarkWarriorKarg02-21-07, 11:33 AM | If you're going to do "black widow" stuff, you have to do it right... Of course, your players should see this coming a mile away. matriarchal drow culture. However, they have a king. One of your adventurers is lucky enough to be chosen to marry the queen. the king reigns for a year. he is then ceremonially killed and eaten, so that his strength can pass on to the whole tribe. "Guess what, guys... they want me to marry the queen... she's hot, too!" "Ummm... did you ask what happened to the previous one?" "She did mention that he sacrificed himself in order for the tribe to prosper over its enemies." "Did she mention he had help?" "No... she seemed suspiciously vague on the details... I suppose we should be leaving in a hurry?" "Once we get past the guards that just positioned themselves outside our hut..." "Aw, crap..." |

| Logos702-21-07, 12:01 PM | Enjoy the Ritual Eating of the King Bit, would almost make Drow worthwhile but drop Lloth, at best a Rajah Khan of Spiders or some sort, don't call it lloth something like Arawai's Shadow or evil twin sister , herald of the over lord etc? Lgoos |
| Sturm Jaeger02-21-07, 12:31 PM | Can one of them be named Xena? |
| DarkWarriorKarg02-21-07, 01:08 PM | Can one of them be named Xena? No... you'd need to use X'Ina. Remember to use a Xend'rik boomerang of returning... |
| Kid SixXx02-21-07, 01:22 PM | I love you all like family. This is the funniest thing I've read today. X'ina indeed. :) |
| valkeriesmurf02-21-07, 03:15 PM | LOL We'll need another Drow to be named Gabrelle and some poor sap named Joxter. |
| Thindelock02-21-07, 04:08 PM | If you go with the rajah idea, one interesting angle would be to model him/her off of an old god named Anansi/Anasasi. Trickster spider spirit, I forget what pantheon. Could be interesting, and doing that is a unique alternative to "they just worship a different one of the Dark Six." Digging the black widow idea, i may steal it. |

| Romulus LoneWolf02-21-07, 05:27 PM | Ok, fine, no Lolth. But I do also like the Black Widow angle. If all of these Drow Amazons follow the same path, it would make them enemies of ALL other Drow, which they would consider useful only as one-time mates... |
| Teron Gorefiend02-22-07, 09:33 PM | Who are Lolth and Vulkoor? *Hums loudly over any attempt to answer.* |
| Sturm Jaeger02-22-07, 09:50 PM | Who are Lolth and Vulkoor? *Hums loudly over any attempt to answer.* Why would you even ask that? |
| Wolfkiller02-27-07, 11:33 AM | Can one of them be named Xena? I have a better idea. Stop me if you've heard this one before. The queen of this tribe picks her most beloved daughter to go forth into Khorvaire to teach them the ways of her people. To aid her, they arm her with their greatest treasures. A girdle that gives her the strength of a giant, sandles that give her the gift of flight, bracers and breastplate + 5, a tiara that can be used as a boomerang, and a lasso that brings out the anger of the user and forces them to face it or be devoured by it. :P |
| King Donkey02-27-07, 12:01 PM | They might meld better with the big hunting spiders and not the webspinning variety. Cool idea though. Have Lockwood paint something immediately. |
| UnderworldLord02-27-07, 12:18 PM | I beleive that one is wonder woman. Would the tierra be a xen'drik [collapsible?] or talenta boomerang? |
| Wolfkiller02-27-07, 12:22 PM | I beleive that one is wonder woman. Would the tierra be a xen'drik [collapsible?] or talenta boomerang? Hmm. Collapsable maybe. The tiara could open up in flight to expose blades. That would be neat. |

| Wolfkiller02-27-07, 06:51 PM | I was gonna drop the lasso and go with a "whip of castigation", which would have a similar effect as a lasso of dominate person. You wouldn't have to be bound by it, just struck with it. I wasn't sure if everyone wanted to go there. Public boards and what not. :P |
