My brother and me were creating characters for an epic level campaign my DM was putting together, and we ran across what seemed to me a rule breaker. We were looking in the Ebberon campaign setting and we found the Artisan feats (the ones that reduce time, gold and XP spent on items), they take 25% off the total price...and they stack. My brother believes that this means that a twentieth level artificer who made the right feat choices (basically all Artisan feats all the time) could create magic items for free in no time at all. Is he right?

He is wrong. Errata has been released that only allows you to take those Artisan feats once.

Thank you, which Errata if I could ask?

P.S. Did I post this in the right place?

Official D&D Errata (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/er/20040125a)

Just scroll down to the Eberron Campaign Setting errata.

This (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/ECSerrata_02062006.zip) errata.

And yes, this is an acceptable place to ask.

And even if the errata wasn't there, you still wouldn't get them for free.
It lowers the base gold cost. First time you would be getting 25% off of 100%.
Second time, you would be getting 25% off of 75%. Third time you'd be getting 25% off of 56.25%. Etc. Law of diminishing returns is in full effect.

Thank you again for the help, I had no idea they posted Errata on this site (I was wondering which book I would have to buy).

Another quick question?

How do I put this thread in the off position?!

YOU canīt - as far as I know. But why bother? Just wait for some time. If nobody posts here, the thread will get knocked down quite soon...
