| pana1999yote06-13-07, 09:13 AM | Is it possible for a warforged artificer to deliver an infusion such as inflict moderate damage as part of its slam attack in the same round (simultaneously)? Or would it be an action to cast the infusion, followed by the slam attack? I'm leaning towards it being two separate actions. |

If you held the touch attack from a prior round then it should dispel as part of the slam attack. It requires a round of prep. And, If I was DM, then I would roll some type of save for doing anything to avoid discharging it. And i would allow it. |
| pana1999yote06-14-07, 03:10 PM | Well, now I'm not so sure they could be made simultaneously, even by holding a previously cast infusion. 1. Slam is a type of natural weapon (not a touch attack). 2. Touch attacks are made against touch AC, and the slam would not be made against touch AC. I thought I saw somewhere that Improved Unarmed Strike can be used with touch spells, so maybe slam could be used. If so, I would rule that the slam could deliver the infusion as well, but the attack be made vs. regular AC (and possibly, the infusion would discharge even on a miss.) I'd like to find something that definitely says whether a slam can deliver a touch spell. |

You can always deliver touch spells with your unarmed strikes or natural weapons, but only if you're already holding the charge, so you can't per say cast the spell, and attack as one standard action. Also, you have to meet their normal AC if you choose NA or US to deliver the attack. |
