Jeebus2010 09-25-07, 03:07 PM	would it be possible to say build an iron defender as a large or bigger creature (it would def cost more take more time and xp but i`m just thinking that if it has a small amouth of HD it would be less likely to be used at later points in a campain )
WarlockDa 09-25-07, 04:36 PM	As posted in the Homuc thread about four threads below this, by the rules, no you can't. A Homuc may never be bigger than Small size. You can however increase the HD, and while no bigger in size, it can be capable of withstanding a little more damage later on. IIRC it's 2,000 gp per HD with a maximum HD of 2 below the level of it's creator,....thus 8th level Arty can make an Iron Defender with 6 HD, which ain't bad if ya think about it. Then just make some Defense addons, .... "Leggings of Armor" + whatever for the front legs, a ring of Protection as an earring/nosering/whatever, basically use the guidelines for magical gear for companions and boost up your metal puppy.
